Fue adquirida por François Pinault (Artémis Domaines) en 1993. Posteriormente, en 1998 se incorporó Frédéric Engerer como director general, introduciendo importantes mejoras en la viticultura y en la bodega. El viñedo es un precioso jardín de 92 hectáreas, de las cuales 47 se encuentran alrededor del château. Es la zona denominada L’Enclos, destinada a la producción del Grand Vin. Una añada considerada como excepcional por Latour, encumbrada por la crítica y que contribuye a aumentar la leyenda de este vino mítico.

You might not expect to find yourself in rugged, rocky mountains just outside of one of Spain’s largest metropolitan cities, but that is exactly where you’ll find Bodegas Marañones. Welcome to the foothills of the Sierra de los Gredos region of the DO Vinos de Madrid, and to Bodegas Marañones, a setting of exceptional scenic richness and a benchmark for the region that has developed a cult-like status among wine enthusiasts for its vibrant Garnachas and bewitching Albillo Reals. Today, we’ll fly over Bodegas Marañones’ bush vines of Garnacha and Albillo Real in soils of slate, granite, and schist. Farmed organically, these “heroic vineyards,” 30 to 70 years in age, are planted in remote areas at altitudes of 2,000 to 3,000 feet. Here the terrain not only pushes the vines of Garnacha and Albillo Real to their limits, but also those tending the vines that can only access the area by mule. But while it may not be easy, the quality of the fruit that results from this continental climate region is second to none.

While Port and Madeira are staples of the fortified wine market and well known even by non-drinkers, an historical wine made in boutique amounts just a few miles west of Lisbon is almost invisible to consumers. It's called Carcavelos. The first records of a wine actually produced in the Carcavelos region date from the 15th century. And even though the demarcated region of Carcavelos is one of the smaller Portuguese DOCs (Controlled Denomination of Origin), it wasn't always the case. It had mostly disappeared due to a number of factors related to land under acreage, disease and falling out of favour. Historic Adelaide winery and McLaren Vale vineyards for sale by CBRE CBRE’s John Harrison, Angus Bills and Ned Looker have been appointed to market Adelaide’s Patritti family historic urban winery and two McLaren Vale vineyards for sale. “Due to the winery’s sought-after location and being a large land footprint in a residential area within Adelaide’s inner southwestern suburbs, it also lends itself to further development opportunities,” CBRE’s Ned Lookersaid.
