How to know if your blessed? (1) Look at the quality of your life: is it mainly characterized by reproach or blameless? (2) Look at your relationship to God's word: is your life being more aligned to God's word?

As we navigate the unpredictable journey of life, let our hearts be steadfast in their trust. Let us remember that the Lord's wisdom surpasses our understanding, His love knows no bounds, and His grace is sufficient for all our needs. Trusting in the Lord is an act of courage, a declaration of faith, and a source of unshakable peace. Philippians 4:6 is a scripture that has conditions that must be met and a promise that will be realized as a result. The conditions are as follows: Decide not to be anxious. Commit everything to God in prayer. Pray with supplication (humble entreaty or petition). Pray with thanksgiving unto God. When we meet the fourfold condition of this passage, we can expect to receive the promise of embodying the peace of God which carries with it the fourfold benefit of replacing anxiety, surpassing our understanding, guarding (hence protecting) our hearts as well as our minds. Now that promise of peace is enough positive power to get us through, carry us over, and lift us above any situation that comes our way. Let's position ourselves to meet the fourfold conditions found in Philippians 4:6 so that we can receive the fourfold promise!

Reflection: Eulogize your Enemy? By Erin Newton Would you write a eulogy for your enemy? If someone targeted your life, would you speak kind words in memory of their death? When God’s anointing passed from Saul to David, the king sought to kill him. With every turn, David’s life was in mortal danger…however, the news of Saul’s death stirred David to write a dirge…a eulogy for Saul and Jonathan. A funeral song for a man who hated David and a man who loved David—a friend and a foe. It is little wonder that David felt compelled to sing praises of his closest friend. It is unthinkable that he would do the same for Saul. What compels David to give such honor to someone who, by all accounts, did not deserve it? The answer is David’s relationship with God. The words were honoring Saul and Jonathan, but the motivation was to honor God. How we speak of the dead reveals one aspect of our relationship with God…we must find space to honor God at death. It is a difficult task…Perhaps, we can learn that relationships with our enemies are a reflection of our relationship with God.
