Over the past few months, I’ve had the opportunity to lead our technician team as interim Automation Technician Supervisor. I’m excited to dive back into my regular role with some new perspective, relationships, and key learnings from managing a 24/7 team: ✅ Look for communication gaps and plug them QUICKLY. 🎯 In a contract manufacturing world, new info and priorities are the norm. Take ownership and be the person that ensures all the pieces are together. ✅ Your best resources are your colleagues, on your team and within your organization. 🎯 Pay it forward and strive to be a great teammate, it’ll set the foundation for when you need to ask for help or favors. ✅ Raise your hand. 🎯 Jump at the task others are hesitant to take on, offer your opinion on a tricky path forward, and ask the question that feels “dumb” in your head. You’ll grow faster and the people around you will be better for it.

Industrial Automation, Systems Analyst but now I've decided to get my Level II Texas Security Officer license.
ATTENTION industrial automation organizations in the greater Austin Texas area! Over the past 2+ years at Tesla as an Equipment Engineering Technician, I worked 12+ hours per day, 6-7 days per week, 6-12 miles on concrete, and being on call 24/7 just isn't a good balance. Family is VERY important to me. If you are in need of an experienced Project Manager/Controls Engineer/Process Analyst in industrial automation look me up! Often, people don't realize interviews are a 2 way street. Here are my non-negotiables... * Limited local travel as in field service. * No international travel. * No relocation. (I like it where I'm at). * No CONTINUOUS 12-14 hour days. * No CONTINUOUS 24/7 on call. * Must have in place, or working on a plan for appropriate support infrastructure, ie, Controls Engineering, Factory Information Systems, Process Engineering, Maintenance and Production Management. Integrating all of these disciplines critical for success! * No commute greater than 45 minutes one way. Minimum salary requirement is $32.00 per hour, or $66k per year. based upon 40 hour work week. This is quite low for my skillset, but for the right opportunity with the RIGHT employer I'd be happy with it. The reasons I'd entertain such a low wage is that I have other revenue streams and understand the current job market. Here are my negotiables... * Shift preference is days, but would consider nights or 4/3. (I'm an early riser so shift start as early as 4:00am is no problem.) *Limited PLC/HMI/Robotic programming. (I'm not good at being strapped to a desk all day.) If your organization is looking for a Controls Engineer/Project Manager we may be a good fit!
