Each year, 1 in every 16 men and 1 in every 17 women are diagnosed with lung cancer, claiming 1.8 million lives annually. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬—𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬, 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬. This is one of the reasons we started Rayscape, to make healthcare more accessible through technology. Lung cancer is one of the diseases with the highest mortality rate. Often this happens because the cases are diagnosed too late. The EU just rolled out the AI Act, and it’s a pretty big deal, especially for those of us in healthcare and radiology.
