What an all star line up, with a room full of all star women (and a few men)! 🤩Inspiring to start the day with so many incredibly smart and thoughtful minds. 💫 The discussion caused me to pause more than I ever have about investing and financially investing in women startups. 💰 Elizabeth, the panel’s moderator and amazing woman, offered pointed context about there being so many philanthropic southern women who are very generous in their giving, and asked how do you influence and rethink that type of giving into investing, especially in women??…💡💡 The struggle and statistics are real in investing in women startups, and in the workplace. Anna, one of the panelists and another amazing woman, made a very matter of fact, observational comment reflecting exactly that, “Women get promoted on performance. Men get promoted on potential”. 🎭 We need to change and influence that. I believe we can, together. What are your thoughts on how we influence the mindset of investing in women? * Women-founded startups accounted for 2% or less of venture capital (VC) funding invested in Europe and the United States in 2023, Pitchbook data finds. * But by VC deal numbers, women are making gains over the longer term. 🚀 We had an absolute ‘blast’ at our TC Group Quarterly Business Review (QBR) earlier this month which was held at the National Space Centre. It was great to see our Hertford, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Southampton offices come together to update them on our most recent business updates and of course, as always, celebrate the great work our team do for our clients and our business too. We had a lot to cover… so what did we talk about? 📈 Updates & performance from our Offices and Service Line heads. 🧑🤝🧑 Our Employee Board had their largest slot yet, updating everyone on their client and team-focused projects, as well as survey results and their next steps. 🏆 This quarter’s Values Awards winners – congratulations Ana Iliescu, Gemma Rutland, Stacey Connor, and Jane Midlane! We had a record number of nominations 👍🏼 The results of our client experience surveys were shared. An incredible score of 9.4 out of 10 from our clients. We couldn’t achieve this without our teams working together effectively. A real team effort 🧑🤝🧑 Our People – we heavily focus on our team at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re constantly re-evaluating and looking at our company perks and benefits, as well as accommodating as much as possible to each generation within our team. 🤩 Even more interaction through Slido surveys and polling including a Board Q&A. 📊 Our new wins and sales and growth plans were shared by Tom Dymond … and a whopping score of 8.5 from our people on the “Would you recommend TC Group to Friends and Family” question! 🎉 Thank you so much to National Space Centre for having us for our offsite QBR, and to every member of our team for making it such a success!
