I had the opportunity to speak at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress in Berlin on July 18, 2024. Speaking to developers, many of whom are gamers, is always special. It's exciting to see the spark in their eyes when they realize the skills they develop in video games and esports can be applied to their work in software development. In my talk, "Mastering the Game: Leveraging Esports Skills for Hybrid Teams," I explored how esports skills like strategic planning, adaptive communication, and collaborative problem-solving can enhance tech team dynamics, especially in hybrid work environments.
