Networking was what launched my career in aviation. It was through my involvement with a local business aviation group in the Bay Area during my time at San Jose State. Networking isn't just about exchanging business cards or connecting on LinkedIn; it's about weaving a web of relationships that can catalyze your growth and success. Whether you're forging new friendships, seeking mentorship, or exploring collaboration possibilities, every connection made is a potential avenue for learning, support, and opportunity. In today's interconnected world, the value of networking transcends mere professional necessity. So, invest in building meaningful relationships, engage authentically, and watch as your network becomes the fuel for your journey towards greatness.

Fostering Networking : Doesn't matter you're an introvert, extrovert or ambivert, here are a few Networking avenues for you to participate, gettin' the ball rollin' huh : (1) Golfing : Most of the Top Guns of Oil & Gas Big Corporations and other Big Corporations play golf, for leisure and company events. That's an opportunity for you to mingle with them. But if you're too sceptical, inferior, shy, anti social, nothing much I can say. (2) Tennis : Certain Top Guns and Senior Professionals play tennis instead. (3) College Alumni & High School Alumni : You should be members, at least meeting every once in 2 years time. Examples of successful Alumni such as MACOBA ( MCKK) and ANSARA ( MRSM). But negative parts of Alumni : Cartels, Cliques and Political fanatic, Rebels. Hahahahaha. (4) Motoring Club : Such as Merc Benz, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Vintage - Classic Cars, Honda, Porche, VW, etc. (5) LinkedIn : Networking amongst Professionals all over the world for business and friendship. (6) Cycling enthusiasts. (7) Superbike enthusiasts like Harley Davidson, Moto Gucci, Classic Norton, etc. (8) Fishing enthusiasts. (9) Back packers club : budget travellers all over the world. (10) Coffee Sessions : Sharing knowledge and experiences, coaching & mentoring, consultations amongst Professionals. (11) Wedding receptions, birthday parties : chances for making new cobtacts / friends. (12) Surau or mosque congregations : You may mingle with some of current or former Government Top Brasse or Big Corporation Top Guns at certain elite communities such as Damansara or Mont Kiara. For me, I target to meet about 5 Professionals per week for chilling out over coffee sessions huh. Hahahaha.

As we have walked into the Christmas season, the best skill you should adopt is Networking. So many people you don't know will be in your locality this period. Your family may return with their friends, walk up to them and network. Let them know what you do and how your services can be of help to them. Also, there will be lot of events. Weddings, Carols, hangouts, end of the year parties and all, attend and leverage on it. While you do that, be mindful not to sell yourself too cheap. Come from the angle of business, it's always the best way to start meaningful conversations and relationship. Remember, you don't need everybody in your circle of influence, some will want to take advantage of you, some will want to enslave you, some will want to mislead and belittle you, identify them and lay them off. Why am I sharing this? December is one of the 11 month that brings worth of opportunities. I want you to make the very best use of it. Happy New Month.
