"What are you interested in doing?" After getting to know a #candidate a bit, this question really kicks off the part where I learn what they are most passionate about. Today I had another example for why this question is so important. I spoke with a #therapist who is simply phenomenal. She is passionate about her work, thrives in building new programs and has put multiple clinical teams together with high retention rates. She could easily take on one of the #clinicaldirector roles we have open right now and continue to perfect what is already there, but I don't think it would fulfill the part of her that loves to grow and develop programs from the ground up. So, rather than trying to sell her on one of the clinical director roles, I let her know we don't have what she is looking for right now and the why behind it. She understood and appreciated that I heard what matters to her. Just because a candidate has a skill set to take on a certain job, doesn't necessarily mean it will be the right fit for them. If we listen for what they are truly interested in and find a position that matches that, chances are they will stay a lot longer and do amazing things. Mental Health Matchmakers #recruitingstrategy
