I cracked leather whips at the Sydney Easter Show - and sold 10,000 whips over a weekend to fund my ……. ……..teenage lifestyle ….. 😂🤣 Yep...its true - bet you didn't see that coming 😜 - ask my dad and he will proudly tell you this story...... What I realized though is..... How much of your earlier years influence your later years. 📸 Picture this: a young teenage me, learning the art of whip cracking from Aussie cowboys at the Sydney Easter Show ....... all to sell the 40ft container of leather whips imported from India by my Dad for his business.......(don't ask me why a whole container of leather whips for Sydney ...lol) 😜 The goal? To captivate an audience with the perfect crack and sound, turning this spectacle into sales. Over a single weekend, I sold 10,000 whips, sparking not just transactions, but a deeper understanding of engagement, performance, and the art of the sell. This experience, as unique as it sounds, laid the foundational stones for my success in medical devices and now my venture into the world of food and as an entrepreneur........ .....although, I didn't know it at the time - but the buzz of the sale got me cracking more and more whips = more & more sales, and I was getting really good at it too. The lessons were clear: captivate your audience, demonstrate value, and create an experience that resonates. These principles have been my guiding light in creating Nom Noms World Food where each dish is not just a meal, but a story, a connection, a memory. So, what's the takeaway?
