Did you know that truly seeing people with learning disabilities is central to what we do as learning disability nurses? We do it at every stage of the Nursing Process - 👉 Assessment 👉Planning 👉Implementation(of plans) 👉Evaluation We see, we hear, we understand and we include! These are the connections through which we collaborate with people with learning disability and their families. In my experience of working with people with learning disabilities and their families, I found that it was seeing, listening, including and working with people that broke down communication barriers. This learning disability week, I hope we aim to take a step back, reflect on our practices and assess whether they enable people to be truly seen. #learningdisabilityweek #inspiration #leadership #practiceleadership
