Our OET Europe, Middle East, and Africa team had a truly inspiring experience at the EALTHY 2024 conference. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with global OET Test preparation partners and exchange ideas on how to further support healthcare professionals in their English language journeys. OET Education Specialist, Joanne Bass, spoke about the significant impact the OET Test has on healthcare professionals’ careers, emphasising the crucial role that teachers play in helping candidates succeed. The team also attended insightful sessions on medical English, gaining valuable insights into the evolving needs in this field. A highlight of the event was hearing from refugee support groups RefuAid and REACHE, who shared their inspiring work helping displaced healthcare workers overcome linguistic and professional challenges to rebuild their careers.
