Today, completed this amazing playlist by Hitesh Choudhary on Authentication using NextJS. The best series to get started in NextJS, providing under the hood details of how NextJS works like Edge computing, what folder structure it follows and how middleware and controllers differ in NextJS w.r.t ExpressJS. Thank you Hitesh sir, for this amazing playlist. #nextjs #next #backend #frontend

Socket.io setup SUCKS Here’s my website’s stack: Supabase Next.js Socket.io - Streamlined client interactions WebRTC - Audio calls infrastructure Typescript - Type-safe JavaScript Tailwind - Easy custom styling And a slew of other dependencies. I spent the entire day working on one problem: setting up the audio servers for people to call each other. THIS IS THE WHOLE IDEA OF THE WEBSITE! 3.5 days to the scheduled launch. I’m not going to drive much hype for it in it’s first iteration. I’ll ask a few dozen people to try it out, and then continue iterating so that it’ll be in good condition for when I launch in Austin.

Exciting content, Lee! Self-hosting is a game-changer for developers looking to maximize control and reduce costs. Your breakdown of deploying Next. js with Postgres and Nginx is invaluable for those transitioning to self-hosting. The focus on Docker simplifies the process, making it accessible for many. Love that the demo app is open source! It encourages collaboration and learning within the community. Curious to know, what challenges did you face while setting up this stack, and how did you overcome them? Looking forward to implementing these techniques in my projects! #SelfHosting #NextJS #WebDevelopment
New video: Self-Hosting Next.js! Learn how to deploy Next.js, Postgres, and Nginx to a $4 VPS with Docker. I'll explain how to use and configure Next.js features like image optimization, caching & ISR, streaming, middleware, server components, and more. Demo app is open source! https://lnkd.in/gwDQ8rr6

In this project, I demonstrated how to schedule a meeting with another user, and the updates are reflected in #real_time for all participants. For this demo, I utilized a locally hosted #WebSocket server to achieve real-time communication. I used #Socket.IO with #Node.js for the #backend. #Next.js for the #frontend Let me know what you think! #React #Next.js #Node.js #FullStack #WebSocket
