Advocating Financial Freedom and Equality by helping women to invest to secure their financial future
TBT Friday Mood... At some point all 3 of my children was going to private schools, my eldest being in a boarding school. These are the photos from some of these fancy school's fancy events... Thankfully my eldest now in University and my other two transitioned to a local state school successfully. VAT is coming on the private school fees with upcoming Labour government and I would be stressing out if my children were still in private schools. The private school fees were increasing in the last few years with inflation and increasing costs. It is quite a big financial committment where the fees are anywhere from £20-60 K per annum in the UK. As with any financial commitment, it requires careful financial planning. If you prefer private education for your children and worried about the increasing fees and the VAT, please get in touch via DM or email: hulya@venusglobal.finance to discuss your options. #schoolfeesplanning #privateschools #financialplanning #financialcoaching

Learning & Development | Crafting Innovative Learning Programs 🚀 | Training Impact Evaluation 📊 | Enhancing Organizational Growth through Effective Development Strategies 🎯 | Researcher 🔬 | Keynote Speaker 🎤
Social media has become a practical tool for #comparativeeducation studies, allowing us to explore and discuss different educational policies worldwide. Comparative education investigates how educational systems are structured across different contexts to enhance our global understanding. Said that... I appreciate Tom McGrath for initiating such a necessary debate about Poland's recent educational reforms. These reforms limit #school #homework to encourage creativity over rote learning. These policies reflect a trend towards reducing the academic burden, especially at lower levels of education. #Research suggests that homework can benefit academic #performance in secondary education, depending on #quality rather than quantity (Cooper, Robinson, and Patall, 2006). They should be designed to foster #engagement and deepen understanding of the #material rather than merely extending study hours without a clear purpose. Alfie Kohn (2006) also questions the effectiveness of homework in lower grades. He argues that there is #no #correlation between school performance and the amount of homework, proposing a more integrated approach -aligned with the new policies in Poland. These changes and studies invite us to reflect on how educational systems can evolve to better meet the needs of 21st-century students. How should policymakers and educators incorporate these findings into policies that enhance both academic excellence and student well-being? How do we balance these needs in different educational and cultural contexts? Suggestions... Happy to learn from you.

We help schools and businesses better understand what's happening in their setting so they can focus on what matters most.
Correlation is not the same as causation. You could equally argue that students who do worse academically are more likely to be suspended from school. One does not necessarily cause the other. The cause for both likelihood of suspension and poor academic performance is more probably to found in home's socio-economic circumstances. We are currently working with Manchester to develop a city-wide system to track pupils in AP. Amongst other things, we want to incorporate the Income Deprivation Affecting Children Index (IDACI) to better understand the correlation between home circumstances and referral to AP. #alternativeprovision

It's May 15. The FAFSA still doesn't work for all students. Parents cannot contribute to their student's form. Glitches that have reversed students SAIs persist. Colleges can't award financial aid without an SAI. Not all colleges and students can access corrections to the form yet. The Department of Education has remained silent, except to say "do the FAFSA". It's not that students and families don't want to do the FAFSA, it's that they can't. You made it impossible and they got tired of waiting, trying, and getting nowhere. To students and families: I am begging you not to opt out. Communicate with college financial aid offices about what is happening. Ask for deposit extensions and deferrals. You are not alone in your frustrations and your inability to move forward. It is not your fault. To colleges: Please work with students who have been impacted by the FAFSA failure. Please hold the Department of Education accountable to students by not letting our students slip through the cracks. A lot of families are giving up and they need to know that you want their voices on your campuses. They need your support because they don't have any from the folks who made the form. I talked to CBS this week, but there's so much more to say than what was said this week. We are facing an enrollment crisis worse than COVID in certain communities, and the economic outlook for everyone is worse off because of the failure of the FAFSA and the inability to access student aid programs. https://lnkd.in/davc-Qw6

Today marks the launch of the third annual National School Trust Report, which highlights the top priorities for school trust leaders this academic year: financial pressures and providing an inclusive education. We're proud to help amplify the voices of trust leaders in collaboration with the Confederation of School Trusts through this important report. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ecB5K7mq Leora Cruddas CBE, Chief Executive of CST, commented: "Education is at the heart of school trusts – it’s why we exist. But trust leadership also means ensuring financial, physical, and strategic stability so that children can thrive. Trusts have adopted new financial models to direct more resources to the front line, yet recent economic challenges and public spending constraints have made balancing budgets increasingly difficult." Edurio's Co-Founder, Ernest Jenavs, shared: "This year’s survey reveals two key themes. First, the ongoing financial pressures trusts face stand out. While many trust CEOs feel they have managed these immediate challenges, it has often required drawing down on reserves. "Secondly, the prominence of SEND issues continues to grow, with trust leaders placing it as their top priority for delivering high-quality education. "Despite these challenges, trust CEOs have shown resilience and commitment. We are inspired by their leadership and their ability to navigate external pressures."
'Balancing budgets and cost reduction are the top financial priorities for trusts. Three-quarters expect to dip into their reserves this year' 📄 Leora Cruddas sets out key findings from CST's third annual national school trust report
