🚨 Big News Alert! 🚨 A few years back, our push for a green gasmill and the "Save Our Boilers" campaign sparked a heated debate: should we ditch gas in our homes for brand-new heat pumps? 🤔 Our mission is crystal clear: end fossil fuel use in Britain 🌍. But we believe in achieving this without burdening consumers. What if we told you that you could keep your gas boilers, eradicate CO2 emissions, and do it cheaper, faster, and with less hassle? 🚀 The Case for Gas: 💡 Did you know natural gas isn’t that ‘natural’? It’s a fossil fuel, and while it emits less CO2 than others, its main component, methane, is over 80 times more harmful. Not sustainable at all! 🌎 $4.3 Billion in Grants Announced for Community-Driven Solutions to Cut Climate Pollution Across America 🌎 These grants will fund 25 projects in 30 states, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. When combined, these projects could cut emissions by up to 971 million metric tons of CO2 equivalent by 2050, equivalent to the annual energy use of 5 million homes for over 25 years. We're excited to see battery storage recognized as a key component of these initiatives. A selected project will support Cuyahoga County, the City of Cleveland, and the City of Painesville in their transition from reliance on a coal-fired power plant in Northeast Ohio. The grant will fund the deployment of 10 MW of battery storage.
