Candidate experience. For those Talent Acquisition and Human Resource professionals who are still using candidate application software that requires you to list, individually, many past roles, titles, times and details AFTER you have already uploaded your full resume.... Please stop. It is mind-numbing, laborious and demoralizing, and gives the impression that you may not read the actual resumes. Feel free to add lots of qualifying questions if you would like more information about the candidate or screening questions...but to regurgitate a resume is off-putting to the applicant. Wondering how many other good candidates have backed out of your process? Worth checking the in-app stats? #talentacquisition #candidateexperience #employerbranding

STOP! 🛑 Before you send your resume to an in house recruiter. have you: ✅ Looked at what position their company has available? ✅ Applied to the position as directed on the company website and/or link they provided in a post? ✅ Do you meet the qualifications of the position they are hiring for? Truth is, most recruiters will direct you to apply for a the position through the company website. Best thing (only thing) to message a recruiter about is questions about a role they are filling or to let them know you have applied. #recruiterlife #hiring #application

In a 2017 CareerBuilder survey, 74% of employers reported hiring the wrong person for a position. 👉 32% of those hiring managers took a chance on a nice person! 👉 35% knew the candidate did not have all the needed skills, but they thought they could learn quickly. 👉 On the other hand, 66% of new hires who accepted the job later realized it was a bad fit, and 50% quit within six (6!) months.
