👋 To friends and colleagues in the #socialsector: sharing a resource for you and/or those in your network who are actively looking for their next role. Over the years I kept a list of #socialsector and #socialentrepreneurship job sites and search firms... now neatly in a spreadsheet! It is by no means exhaustive. I have shared this recently with a few folks and thought it might be helpful for your networks, too. 👇 Drop a comment if there is a site you like that you don't see on the list; I will keep it updated. #jobsearch #socialsector #nonprofit

Navigating the dynamics of a two-sided marketplace as a search firm for nonprofit organisations is both challenging and rewarding. At Charity Search Group, we have the unique role of bridging the gap between nonprofits seeking passionate, skilled talent and candidates looking for meaningful career opportunities. On one side, we support nonprofit organisations by understanding their specific needs, culture, and mission. We work diligently to identify and attract top talent that aligns with their values and goals, ensuring they have the right people to drive their mission forward. On the other side, we engage with job candidates, understanding their career aspirations, strengths, and passions. Our goal is to find the perfect match where their skills and values align with the mission of the nonprofit, creating a fulfilling and impactful career path. Being in this dual role requires a deep understanding of both sides of the marketplace, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to creating successful, long-term matches. It's about fostering relationships, building trust, and making connections that matter. At the end of the day, our greatest satisfaction comes from seeing both nonprofits and candidates thrive, knowing that we've played a part in creating a positive impact in the community. #Nonprofits #TalentSearch #CommunityImpact #NonprofitJobs #TalentAcquisition #Recruitment

As someone who has spent 25 years working in non profit recruitment I have been told numerous times by many people that they want to "make a difference" At TPP we talk about working with purpose and we have seen first hand the impact that dedicated individuals can have on the lives of others through their work in the non profit sector. Whether this is a fundraiser securing a major donor, a Trustee shaping strategy or an HR professional making an impact through EDI. If you're considering a career in this rewarding sector, my advice to you is to first identify your specific areas of interest and passion. Whether it's working with children, the environment, or social justice, finding a cause that truly resonates with you will not only make your work more fulfilling, but also increase your chances of success in this competitive field. Additionally, gaining relevant experience through temp or volunteer work can help you stand out to potential employers. Remember, the sector is all about making a difference, so let your passion and dedication shine through in your job search and career journey! Finally speak to a member of our Team who can offer advice and support on securing your dream role 🌍🤝💼🌟 #CharitySector #nonprofit #CareerAdvice #MakeADifference

Nonprofits have a staff retention crisis on their hands. As this data from The Nonprofiteers demonstrates: * 74% of staff will look for a new job this year * 65% are unsure whether they'll stay in the sector Why do things look so dismal? * 58% don't receive enough support * 58% lack clear growth opportunities * 57% inadequate compensation and benefits What strategies can a nonprofit use to turn this around? * 82% more remote and flexible work arrangements * 64% supportive management and leadership * 64% adequate benefits and compensation What else do you wish nonprofit leaders knew about the staff retention crisis? #nonprofits #staff PS, A big thanks to Michelle Flores Vryn and Evan Wildstein for generating this data! https://lnkd.in/gR5CZHuH

Nonprofit leaders and board members: This may seem shocking to read, but it shouldn't be a surprise. Based on the number of people you employ, this is how many of your staff are looking to leave that you may need to replace: ► 5 total staff = 4 employees leaving ► 25 total staff = 19 employees leaving ► 50 total staff = 37 employees leaving ► 100 total staff = 74 employees leaving If your staff mostly consists of individuals with fewer than 10 years of professional experience, these statistics become more dire. What does that mean for you? Gallup estimates that the cost of replacing an employee can be as high as TWO TIMES what you are paying them. Those are dollars that could be invested in: ✅ Marketing to reach more people with your current services. ✅ Expanding your programs and the communities you serve. ✅ Building revenue streams to support your financial sustainability. ✅ Increasing salaries and benefits to attract and retain quality employees. ✅ Replacing equipment and other capital needs. ✅ So many other needs that help you fulfill your mission. The Social Impact Staff Retention Project identifies three strategies that can help you retain your employees. Considering how expensive it is to replace staff, can you afford not to follow these strategies? Thank you to Michelle Flores Vryn, CFRE and Evan Wildstein for creating the data, to Sean Hale for posting this and to Meg Taylor for starting a conversation within your network!
