Financial Crime Risk specialist. Author "How not to be a money launderer", "Understanding Suspicion in Financial Crime", "Cleaning up the 'Net" and "Trade Based Financial Crime". Consultancy, seminars, writing.
Don't think outside the box. Deny there's a box. I started using this slogan, and others, to explain to financial crime risk and compliance officers that they should not be constrained by traditional thinking, should not be hampered by taboos nor tied up in compliance-first approaches if they wanted to effectively detect, deter and report suspicions or knowledge of money laundering. That was in the mid 1990s and I still use it today. Often. This card is one of its more recent iterations. I, through Vortex Centrum and other companies have been advising companies on money laundering, etc. risk since 1994. I have written hundreds of articles, dozens of papers and several books and am available for consultation for regulators, law draftsmen and financial institutions and for paid mentoring (online) for individual financial crime risk and compliance officers. Here's another slogan. I know my stuff. And I know yours, too. #vortexcentrum #riskandcompliance #morriscotterill
