I wonder why LinkedIn doesn't have a button to export your profile as a resume instead of just a pdf? Would incentivize more users to fill out their profiles, ask for recommendations, etc.
the only caveat i would say is if its for a federal position, everything goes out the window.... where you have a 10+ page resume ( 🤢 ) ..
I think resumes have become so long and detailed that it has become a norm hearing people with 4 to 7 page CV's / Resumes landing high paying jobs. I stick to minimalist principles, I will never go above 1 page. My goal is to actually get people to read it, not to seem narcissistically impressive and full of lies (actually keep reading more and more about this issue in the UK lately people are literally lying about having university degrees and all sorts lol which is actually illegal here)
Your resume should be a powerful sales tool, not an overload of information. Teal sounds like a game-changer for creating focused resumes!
I think the idea of trying too hard is spot on. It’s so easy to over think a resume and trying to make the “perfect” document. Love this framing!
Carly Taylor, M.Sc.!!! I think you may be on to something. My resume IS trying to do too much. It has too many irons in the fire. It's juggling too many balls in the air. It's burning the candle at both ends... day and night... and even burning midnight oil (but only during the night around midnight). It's overburdening itself, pushing itself too hard. It's spread too thin... and biting off more that it can chew. It's got it's nose to the grindstone and... exhausting and exhausted. Teal can solve a resume that is trying to do too much!!! Teal is quite simply... unreal!
Yes to all of this...but does it work in the real world? Teal, please share success data and stories from your users; we'd all love to know more!
What's the worst resume someone sent you? I'll go first. A 4-pages long .docx file 😂
