Recently BayLand staff performed closeout monitoring of our Solley Cove Park and Fort Smallwood Park Living Shorelines. We are happy to report that not only do we see thriving marsh habitat, but these sites were teeming with previously unseen wildlife and aquatic habitat. Submerged Aquatic Vegetation has populated behind the breakwaters at both sites and juvenile fish were observed enjoying the protected waters. We even spotted a horseshoe crab in the sandy embayments of the Solley Cove site!!
