I already know the answer to this following question, but as this is for research, (no wrong answers!) I would like you to respond with the first thing that comes into your heads. love to see your answers below. There are two types of firefighting opportunities, the first type is typically called "wholetime" if a person is employed on a full time basis and being a firefighter is their main occupation. Question: What would you call the other type of opportunity if a firefighter is employed on a part time basis where they have primary employment elsewhere. For example their primary employment might be a sales assistants, a teacher, a builder, and they wait for their pager to go off to respond to an incident. #firefighter #fireservice #wholetime #careers #userresearch #design

A landscaper, a factory worker, a surfing instructor.....Chris Hemsworth. A grocery store clerk, youth outdoor guide, factory worker....Ryan Reynolds. Sweeping up hair in a hair salon.....Beyonce. Working as a telemarketer......Taylor Swift. Delivering newspapers, working part time in a pharmacy.....Tim Cook. Inspecting car fenders and hoods.....Mary Barra. Tour guide......Jack Ma. My point is....many of you are trying to rethink your career path. Your current one is experiencing layoffs, you are in a job you hate, you are under-employed.....the list goes on. You only lose when you give up on yourself. Don't. Imagine if one of the individuals above gave up on themselves? Is it all going to be sunshine and roses????....no. Strategic Communications Leader ➥ Crisis Communications | Public Speaking | Political & Policy Communications | Executive Governance Board Support | Strategic Advisement
As a #jobseeker & #veteran I find this platform infuriating most days. It's frustrating enough the unsolicited messages from men presumably real and not bots from far off countries telling me how beautiful I am (save it pal), but some of the recent messages from #recruiters is enough to drive me bananas. "Hey Kathleen! I reviewed your profile and resume and am so impressed with your background. You'd be a great fit for a position I'm filling for a fire alarm technician!" - I've never worked fire suppression, hell I've never been a first responder. "Hey Kathleen! I reviewed your profile and resume and am so impressed with your background. I have a position that pays well for a Company actively seeking someone like you! Just register for this free webinar to learn more!" -....seriously? The company ended up being an insurance firm in Canada looking for phone sales reps. Just because I'm a #veteran doesn't mean I qualify for any old technical job nor does it mean I'm desperate. I'm a seasoned professional with a proven record in #strategiccommunications , #crisismanagement, #leadership, and #policyresearch. I'm NOT interested in becoming a CDL driver, a security professional in Iraq, or a supply chain technician II. Don't be lazy, don't waste my time.

'𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫' type? Well, you've stumbled upon the laborer extraordinaire! Here's why laborers(𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫) are the unsung heroes of the workforce, and why you definitely want one on your team: 1. 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬: Need heavy lifting? Forget about hitting the gym; just hire a laborer! We turn lifting into an art form, sculpting those muscles while getting the job done. 2. 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬: Ever seen a laborer juggle multiple tasks at once? It's like watching a circus act, but with more hard hats and less clown makeup. 3. 𝐚𝐜𝐆𝐲𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Give us a paperclip and some duct tape, and we'll MacGyver our way out of any problem. Who needs fancy tools when you've got creativity and determination? 4. 𝐄𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬: Rain or shine, we're out there giving 110%. It could be pouring cats and dogs, and we'll still be cracking jokes and getting the job done with a smile. 5. 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: We're not just colleagues; we're a family. Laborers know the importance of teamwork, camaraderie, and sharing snacks on break time. After all, a team that snacks together, stays together! So, if you're in need of some serious muscle power with a side of laughter, look no further. Hire a laborer and watch your projects soar - quite literally, if needed! 👩🏫 👩🚒 👷♀️ 👨💻
