If I could chat with my 20-year-old self.
A Junior in college, who was working at WLIW Channel 21 in Long Island NY, here's the advice I'd share:
1️⃣ Embrace Every Opportunity: Seize those chances at WLIW and in college. Each experience, no matter how small, contributes to your growth.
2️⃣ Learn from Rejections: Don't fear setbacks; they're stepping stones. They teach resilience and pave the way for future successes.
3️⃣ Master the Art of Sales: Whether selling ideas, products, or yourself, honing your sales skills will open doors and create endless possibilities.
4️⃣ Balance Work and Life: Success is meaningful when complemented by a fulfilling personal life. Find harmony between career ambitions and personal well-being.
5️⃣ Prioritize Relationships: Invest time in building genuine connections. In the grand scheme, it's the people around you that make the journey worthwhile.
6️⃣ Continuous Learning: Stay curious and never stop learning. Adaptability is the key to navigating the ever-evolving professional landscape.
7️⃣ Cherish Marriage: Cultivate a strong partnership. Communication, patience, and shared goals will strengthen your bond over the years.
8️⃣ Financial Wisdom: Save, invest wisely, and plan for the future. Financial stability provides freedom and peace of mind.
9️⃣ Trust the Process: Life unfolds in unexpected ways. You will get fired, but its not the end of the world. Embrace the journey, and trust that each phase is shaping a brighter future. You're always more valuable to someone else than you are to your own company.
🌟 Grateful for the lessons learned, excited for what's ahead!
Here's to another year of growth, wisdom, and making every moment count. 🥂
