Stop hiring people because you know their family background. Stop hiring people who claim they know how to do the job and really don’t know. Stop keeping people in positions that are bringing down the moral values of the company. Stop hiring people because you were best friends with their fifth cousin in third grade. It’s easy to hire for skills. It’s done everyday but is definitely not a guaranteed make up for success. But hiring the right person with the right fit is hiring for long term success. Don’t overlook a candidate because they may not have a degree. Hire them because they fit your culture, needed skills and perhaps with proper encouragement through continuing education, learning, and development, you will grow and develop a leader. That is part of succession planning.

Attracting Top Talent? Don't Rely on Luck! When hiring for P&C roles, leaving things to chance is a surefire way to end up with a bunch of duds. Smart recruiters know the game is all about actively selling the opportunity and uncovering those hidden gems while acting as an extension of your team. What are some of our tips? 👉 Treat candidates like coveted free agents - wine and dine them with compelling vision, growth potential, and culture fit. 👉 Don't be shy with the benefits details - great talent commands high compensation and perks. Remember it's not always about the pay itself, so make sure to call out all added benefits like PTO, family leave, etc. Ultimately, you want them envisioning your company as their big break, not just another reset. With the right courtship strategy, you'll sign franchise players, not rent-a-temps. Looking for more insights? Reach out - we love to talk P&C hiring strategies!
