Holi's Lesson on Building Vibrant Connections Early in my career, I focused solely on individual achievements, neglecting the importance of building relationships. While I achieved some success, it felt hollow. It was only when I started connecting with colleagues, mentors, and industry experts that my career truly flourished. These connections provided valuable insights, opened doors to new opportunities, and fostered a sense of belonging. It's a beautiful reminder that professional success isn't a solo journey; it's about weaving a vibrant tapestry of connections that support growth and shared triumphs. So, this Holi, let's embrace not just the colors, but the spirit of connection. Let's build a more collaborative and successful professional landscape, one vibrant relationship at a time. Happy Holi! May your life be as vibrant and colorful as the hues of Holi! Wishing you a festival filled with joy, laughter, and delightful moments. Holi isn't just about the playful colors; it's a celebration of togetherness and new beginnings. It reminds us of the power of building connections – the kind that go beyond superficiality and foster collaboration, trust, and shared experiences. In today's professional world, these connections are critical for success. Just like the vibrant colors of Holi, a strong network adds richness and depth to your career. So, this Holi, let's celebrate by fostering vibrant connections, building bridges, and creating a more colorful professional landscape. #HappyHoli #BuildingConnections #ProfessionalNetworking

T-Minus 21 hours! Folks travelling in from across the US and within Canada. One common objective: simplify their business model with small, profitable events at the core. This event feels slightly different than ones in the past. In the past, my thoughts were focused on the EXTERNAL: • “what if they don’t have a good time?” • “what if they don’t see the value in this?” • “what if the location isn’t sexy?” Ha! I laugh now looking back. Today, my thoughts are about the INTERNAL: • “I have a chance to serve, it’s my duty to share both the knowledge I’ve acquired, and share a vision of what’s possible” • “It’s my responsibility to invite people to play a bigger game for themselves, and their family” • “I am responsible to share the path. They are responsible for choosing their future” The two sets of thoughts are very different… …almost as if I’m a different person now. 😉

We work very hard. I know that most people work hard worldwide, but I come from Brazil, so please excuse me for only telling you how amazing workers my people are! I came to Canada almost two years ago. Ever since I was in Brazil, immigration consultants and professionals have been telling me about how hard Brazilians work and how our job titles are often neglected back home. For over five years, I worked as a Marcomm coordinator. Here in Canada, I had to change my job title to manager because coordinator is considered an entry-level job, and keeping my Brazilian job title was confusing for recruiters. It basically implied that despite having over ten years of experience, I had never reached a "reasonable" position and remained at entry-level positions in different companies. Although the coordinator role in Brazil is a leadership position with many responsibilities and trust, it carries a different weight here in Canada. What's funny is that I felt guilty for changing my job title and "fibbing" on my profile, so I felt the need to explain to my former colleagues in Brazil that it was just a formality. In Canada, everything in my job description corresponds to a senior manager role, and keeping my Brazilian job title did not help me at all. Ps: picture from another time, when Brazilian soccer was a reason for pride.
