Do you really know how a #DustCollector, #Baghouse works? Do you know what #ReversePulseJet technolgy is? An industrial dust collector is just like your vacuum cleaner. It’s meant to gather dust from various processes and equipment in the manufacturing of goods and then separate the particles from the air to satisfy federal, state and local permitting. All dust collectors are light particulate loaded, dilute phase conveying systems, including cyclones and scrubbers. That means based on your particles specific gravity, bulk density, particle shapes, sizes and so forth, your velocities will be anywhere from 3000-5000 feet per minute. So here’s how to think about the reverse pulse jet, when the bags are clean, it’s like sipping water through a straw, when dirty, it’s a smoothie. When it gets to smoothie, we use compressed air to blow into the inside of the bags knocking the cake off & back into the collector to be conveyed away. Here’s what most people don’t understand, that cake is your filter. The bags and cages are there to give the particles something to cling to. Air to Cloth means how much cloth do you need to clean the air to acceptable limits as mentioned above. Nederman MikroPul invented the Reverse Pulse Jet technology, which is now the basis of all other manufacturers designs, the patent ran out years ago. What they couldn’t copy was our Inlet Technologies as described in the video below. Our diffusers slow the inlet air velocity down to 500 fpm at the entry and 200 fpm intestinal velocity (between the bags), as well drops out 50% of the particulate so it never reaches the bags.
