CMG successfully launched its motion seat technology with Mercedes Benz in 2018 in the automotive industry. An increasing focus on health and wellness, and passenger experience in the aerospace industries led CMG to develop an application for airline seats that are equipped with power seat position adjustments. It is essential to understand the resource level to maintain the digital twin model once built. Does that skillset even exist enmasse Is it productive/cost effective to have that resource dedicated maintaining a complex model. Does it actually make things better. Its the same with Buildings and those pushing for complex digital twins. Perhaps AI will be used to help bridge the gap.

Really interesting to hear this information. I've often used F1 in my introduction discussions with customers on digital twins. However, I've more recently been using the example of Google maps as it's more relatable. Most people have used an app for driving directions, I've not met anyone yet who has driven a F1 car. Please post a comment if you have driven a F1 car! It's not surprising that Excel was in use here. It is at the heart of so many data solutions and company processes. We would always recommend a review of your data strategy before we look to progress onto a digital twin solution, as we need to have firm foundations to work from.
