Mobility is entering a new age of innovation and is undergoing a transformational shift which will have far-reaching implications for the way we live our lives. Had some very interesting discussions around the #FutureOfMobility, electrification of vehicles, connected and autonomous vehicles and Mobility-as-a-Service at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo last week. It is clear that public and private partnerships are being forged to help communities become greener, more pedestrian-friendly, and less dependent on private transportation. Many sectors like healthcare and insurance will have to recalibrate their future strategies to account for the impact of mobility. Together, we can reinvent the future!

There has been a global paradigm shift in how the future of vehicles will evolve. As Electric Vehicles (EVs), connected mobility and new technologies transform the way we move, we also need to create a forward-looking regulatory ecosystem which can provide a platform for implementation. The government has been very proactive and supportive with EV policies and incentives as well as in pushing for better mobility solutions for Indian cities. At the same time, it’s great to see many states coming up with state level policies to support the creation of mobility infrastructure.

We were especially proud to showcase the indigenously designed and manufactured Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainset, a testament to India’s engineering prowess, which stands nearly at par with European standards. The reception has been overwhelmingly positive, with many recognizing the potential of BEML’s innovation in revolutionizing urban mobility and rail transport globally. What excites us even more is the interest and inquiries we've received for potential collaborations. This reaffirms our commitment to delivering sustainable, future-ready rail solutions that not only meet global standards but are also designed with a vision for a greener tomorrow. Had a remarkable meeting with Michael Schuch, Susanna Zammataro, and Akhilesh Srivastava, delving into the challenges of establishing a sustainable global transport infrastructure. Michael highlighted Swarco's dedication to advancing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) through cutting-edge technologies and industry collaborations. The discussion also shed light on outdated infrastructure, regulatory hurdles, and the need to scale up pilot projects for larger deployments. Akhileshji shared insights on the rapid growth of the India ITS forum as a key player in advising the Indian Government on nationwide ITS policies and fostering a framework for introducing top technologies to the Indian market.
