We should always pay serious attention to how businesses and individuals are nominated for Awards. Pay attention to the selection criteria and the evaluation process. Names and titles in the Advisory Board are not important, the process is. Bear in mind that not everyone knows how to analyze financials.

There are three big mistakes property/finance professionals make with awards ... 1. Not entering. There can be only one winner – but there are multiple finalists. Being named a finalist will give you a big marketing boost and greatly impress your clients. 2. Not giving direct answers to direct questions. Don't waffle or drift off-topic. The best award submissions give judges exactly what they're looking for. 3. Not subtantiating claims. "We had our best year ever" is meaningless, because judges aren't being given any supporting evidence. "We had our best year ever, because our net profit grew by a record 23.6% and we added a record 31 new clients" is impressive, because it both makes a claim and proves it. P.S.
