We consider ourselves to be in the ‘good night’s sleep’ business: We make everything functional and reliable so that our clients can focus on their core expertise, free of the typical tech worries. Here’s how we do it: 👉 A lot of our work is helping our clients in very practical ways. Our senior DevOps professionals diagnose issues, solve technical problems, create new services or tools and act as advisors. We also do the big stuff – From modern CI/CD to large-scale microservice delivery pipelines. 👉 We work without interference to your daily tasks. As Berlin-based video platform movingimage put it: “Polar Squad’s contribution enabled us to get up to date and renew our ways of working without our product being impacted by the work – that’s very difficult to pull off with internal resources”. If you have a problem in your software development that you need solved, contact us.

🌟 Demystifying Kubernetes: Understanding its Core Components 🌟 Hello, LinkedIn family! 🚀 Today, I'm taking you on an exciting journey into the heart of Kubernetes (K8s) - the game-changer in container orchestration. Let's unravel the mysteries of its core components in a fun, relatable way! 🧱 Nodes: Picture these as the Lego blocks of a K8s cluster. Each node, be it a beefy server or a sleek virtual machine, is a fundamental part that runs K8s. Think of them as two squads: the strategic Masters (control plane) and the hardworking Workers. 🎖️ Master Node: This is the mission control, the place where all the big decisions are made. Its crew includes: - API Server (The Maestro): The conductor orchestrating all operations. Imagine a maestro in an orchestra, ensuring every instrument (component) is in perfect harmony. - Controller Manager (The Executor): This one keeps a vigilant eye on the cluster's health and state. Think of a superhero who ensures everything works just as it should. - Scheduler (The Traffic Cop): This savvy strategist decides which node will run a specific pod. Imagine a traffic cop, directing the flow of cars (pods) efficiently. - etcd (The Guardian): The keeper of all cluster wisdom. This key:value database stores everything the cluster knows, like a wise old sage guarding ancient secrets. 🛠️ Worker Nodes: Here's where the action happens! These nodes get things done, running your apps and workloads. - Kubelet (The Captain): Following orders from The Maestro, this component ensures everything runs smoothly on board. Imagine a ship's captain, skillfully navigating through the seas. - Kube-Proxy (The Postman): This one's all about connections, ensuring smooth communication between pods and the outside world. Picture a postman, delivering letters (data packets) to the right addresses. - Container Runtime Engine (The Worker): The muscle behind the operation, running the containers. Think of a dedicated worker, tirelessly executing tasks. And there you have it! Each part of Kubernetes plays a vital role in this orchestrated dance of technology. 🕺💻 Feeling more familiar with the K8s crew? Share your thoughts and experiences, and let's keep learning together! 💡👩💻👨💻 #Kubernetes #TechCommunity #ContainerOrchestration #TechFun #devops
