Google's Core Topicality Systems are a set of algorithms designed to evaluate the relevance and authority of a webpage's content in relation to a specific topic or subject matter. These systems aim to identify the core topics and themes that a webpage is about, and assess how well the content covers those topics. By analyzing various signals, Google's Core Topicality Systems help determine the webpage's topical relevance and authority, which in turn influences its ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs). The goal of these systems is to provide users with the most relevant and accurate information for their search queries, by prioritizing content that is comprehensive, up-to-date, and authoritative on a particular topic. This approach enables Google to better understand the context and nuances of search queries, and provide more accurate and helpful search results.

So.. It's been about a week since I first heard about the Google leak, where someone ( likely "Open to Work" now 😬 😅) accidentally uploaded a massive amount of detailed internal documents to GitHub, providing fascinating insights into the notorious Google Algorithm. Naturally, being the nerd that I am, I've been eagerly diving in. The leak revealed 2,596 modules and 14,014 attributes that Google uses to determine site rankings for various search queries. This treasure trove of information is a dream come true for SEO enthusiasts, sparking a surge of expert analysis and content across the web. Within days, we’ve already seen posts pointing out that Google has either withheld information or misled SEOs about how the algorithm functions (shocker...not!). So SEO specialists dream? In some way I would say yes but in the same breathe I would caution to buckle up. We are already in the midst of some some rapid fire changes recently in Google updates with the accommodations for low quality generative AI content flooding the web to then implementing AI directly into the SERP pushing organic results down event further. Recently even encountered odd fluctuations in Google map pack results which then resulting in the map pack returning 404 errors.. So my money is on another round of rapid fire changes in the works.
