To everyone that has been affected by the recent layoffs at Toast and other organizations in the recent months, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate through unexpected changes in your career journey, especially when it comes to parting ways with a company you've dedicated your time and effort to.
Having gone through layoffs myself in the past, I know the feelings of uncertainty and the processing of this quick and sometimes unexpected change can be a lot to take in.
Change, though often daunting, can also open doors to new possibilities and growth opportunities. With that in mind, I would like to share some positive news and make you aware of some opportunities to continue your career journey here with us at HungerRush.
We are currently hiring for roles in Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing Operations, and more.
If you're interested in joining our team or learning more about the opportunities available, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly or apply. If anyone else has any colleagues affected by the layoffs at Toast or any other company feel free to forward this information along.
Wishing you all the best on your journey forward.

It’s disheartening to see so many incredible people continue to be impacted by layoffs. 💔 According to Layoffs.fyi, over 300 tech companies have undergone restructuring in 2024, and we know the actual figures are likely much higher.
I wanted to take a moment to share some resources that I hope will be helpful for those navigating the current job market and seeking their next opportunity. (🔗 in the comments.)
- NoCodeOps: Their platform is a hub for everything no-code — from learning resources to a vibrant community. Their free job board offers a variety of roles across development, project management, and design in the no-code realm. Huge thanks to Philip Lakin for passing this along to me.
- Otta.com: This free platform gives you access to 3,500 top companies and 70,000+ live jobs. Receive alerts that align with your interests, location, comp range, and more.
- RemoteJobs.io: Browse remote job openings and receive personalized results. They offer a two-week plan for $3 or monthly plans starting at $5.95/month.
- Elpha: Elpha was founded by women and supports women in tech through networking, coaching/mentorship, virtual events, and job opportunities. I'm proud to be an active Elpha member. DM me for my referral link!
Also, Zapier is hiring! ⚡ We’re fully remote with teammates spread across 18 time zones. We have open roles within #Engineering, #Product, #Marketing, #Sales, and #Support.
If your experience aligns with most of the job requirements, apply! Our amazing team of Sourcers and Recruiters reviews all applications themselves (this is no small feat!), and we strive to provide updates within seven days.
I know what it’s like to not hear back from a company for weeks or (sadly) months, and I’m proud that at #Zapier, we commit to providing a better experience. We also have a talent community that folks can join to stay in touch with us as new roles open.
Interested in learning more about what it’s like working here? Check out the video I’ve included in this post. It was an honor working with our video crew and my incredible teammates who volunteered their time at one of our recent retreats to share their experiences at Zapier! 🧡
If you have any questions about a hiring process you’re in or you’d like to know more about what it’s like working at Zapier, feel free to share them in the comments. I'm happy to help in any way I can.

Today is the day to officially announce that I am no longer with SciPlay/Light and Wonder. Like many talented and amazing people in the world, I was effected by layoffs and my role made redundant. This was not the start to 2024 that I had imagined, no one would, and the past month has been challenging. However, new month and new outlooks. I am now able to look for a role that is fully based in the UK and be 100% present here. I will always be thankful for the opportunities SciPlay/Light and Wonder gave to me, and I will take lessons learned to become stronger in my next role. This is an incredibly difficult time for myself and my family, but we are stronger together. For that I am unbelievably grateful and blessed. Failure is just a learning lesson on your road to success.
To the thousands upon thousands of people out there who have been effected this year, stay strong. Remember, when you are not a decision maker...you can't make decisions for a business. It's not your fault. Try not to put blame on yourself or others. Focus on the future, which I know is easier said than done. Find a friend, family member, or someone (anyone!) to reach out to if you need something. We live in this amazing world with billions of people, so you don't have to go at things alone. While the silver lining and future may not be seen right now, rain always stops, the clouds always part, and you will be able to see success soon.
To those looking to hire, I am open to work! Looking for remote, hybrid, or fully on-site. Reach out to me for open roles and let's chat. I would love to be able to get back to helping everyone else out there! Whether it be in the Brighton and Hove area or up in London, let's have a chat to see how I could help lead your business/company/organization to success!

I was a part of the big tech layoffs earlier this year which, coming from a company with a no-layoffs history, obviously came as a huge surprise. Not only to myself but to the people I had brought on as a Recruiter with whom I had shared this information. Transitioning from being laid off was something that I had to process and reframe because, it wasn’t just my life that it impacted, I felt responsible for those that I influenced into joining a company that I believed in (and still do, it’s a great company).
The first choice I made for myself was to embrace the opportunity (and my severance!) to invest and get educated on what I wanted to build. By doing this, I was fulfilling a lifelong dream to work for myself and become a Professional Coach who helps others walk toward what empowers them and ultimately what makes them feel truly alive.
Here’s what worked for me in this transition:
- Gave myself some time to process - no looking for a new gig until July! (I decided to pivot my career after much research and thought later)
- Let go - I had to let go of the guilt, a company culture that I celebrated and loved, and of fear to start something completely new
- Took inventory of past wants - what’s something I can do now, that I’ve been meaning to do, but never had the time? (I took a 21 day road trip to the mountains!)
- Realigned my values - what’s important as I move through life in this new environment in a new career?
- Got grateful - how lucky was I to have this paid time to spend with people that I love and get serious about making my dreams into a reality
- Continued to do my regular routine (I still woke up the next day after getting laid off at 4:30 am to go on my trail run!)
- Network, network, network. This is the time to connect with all your people. How are they doing? What are they doing? Do people know people that you should meet?
Life's full of surprises, and so is the career journey. If you can embrace the unexpected, who knows where your next adventure might lead? Also, if you’re feeling like you could use some help moving through a transition, reach out. Your next conversation could be a great start to designing what you want to come next in 2024. https://lnkd.in/gywpkyGg#CareerAdventure#UnexpectedJourney#EmbraceChange#ProfessionalCoach#LayoffTurnedLeap#NewBeginnings#ProfessionalCoaching#LinkedInCommunity
I joined ZipRecruiter for 3 reasons:
1. Values + People: I sought out an org that not only had amazing people, but also had established values that were consistently modeled. I’ve found over the years that working with great people is a minimum. Codifying how to show up via your company values keeps the culture strong. Work is a big part of our lives, and to me it's best spent with incredible individuals in a supportive structure. Here’s to Zip’s values: Fearless builders, Excellence without ego, Our hearts are in it!
2. Role Scope: As the Lead PM for growth in our core business line, I’m energized by the potential for impact as well as the empowerment at Zip! More thought leadership on growth coming in future posts.
3. Company Mission + Macro Environment: With Zip’s mission to “actively connect people to their next great opportunity”, our marketplace has a wide reach with both job seekers and hiring companies. It's no secret that the US is in the midst of a job market downturn. The opportunity to be part of the (eventual) changing of the tides is rare and special, especially in that it can positively change the lives of so many.
After ~3 weeks of meeting people and learning about our business + customers, I’m so happy to be here and I feel like these were the right reasons. Excited to dive in even more!

“I still have my job, but what if I get laid off tomorrow?”
This thought is silently haunting many in the games industry right now.
Everyone’s praying for these layoffs to end!
But if they continue like this, How do you stay a step ahead?
Start networking actively and build a network around you!
• Most jobs never even make it to job portals—referrals are still the #𝟭 way to land high-quality positions.
• You get referrals when people know who you are and what you do. If you’re not visible, you’re not in the conversation.
• Get more active on LinkedIn and Twitter. Share your journey, the projects you’re working on, and how you’re solving problems.
• Be authentic: It’s not just about showcasing your skills—it’s about showing who you are, what you care about, and what makes you unique.
Building a network isn’t about waiting until you need it—it’s about having it ready when you do.
I am tagging the top creators in my network below, requesting them to share their networking tips: Ali Farha, Christina-Marie Drake, Kelsy Barredo, Amir Satvat, Alexander Rehm, Kelly Bender, Hannah Wright ⚡️🎮Mirko Minenza, Matt Barney, Ruty Rutenberg, Kristian Kolvek, Kat Craig, Anton Slashcev, Darren P..
