In this talk, Rev Lee discusses that ”All it takes for you to move forward in your life is for YOU to decide. If you are procrastinating it is because you see more drawbacks than benefits. Build your understanding of how this new choice will benefit you and the decision becomes easy.

Unlock YOUR Confidence with Tara Rule "Stop Apologising" 📚 Are you constantly saying "#sorry," even when there's no need? 🤔
Do you wish you could express yourself more assertively and confidently? 💪
If so, my fellow #trailblazer Tara Rule’s debut book, "#StopApologising," is the empowering guide you’ve been waiting for! 🎉
A Life-Changing Read
In "Stop Apologising," Tara Rule takes a deep dive into the psychology behind chronic apologising and provides actionable strategies to help readers develop confidence, assertiveness, and self-belief. Her approach is both practical and insightful, making it easy for anyone to integrate these changes into their daily lives.
Tara’s unique perspective stems from her own experiences and extensive research. She understands that many people, especially women, often over-apologize due to societal conditioning. Her book aims to break this cycle by offering tools that encourage readers to stand up for themselves and communicate effectively without unnecessary apologies.
Why You Need This Book
If you find yourself frequently apologising and feeling unsure of your words or actions, "Stop Apologising" will resonate deeply with you. Here’s a quick look at what you can expect:
Empowerment: Learn techniques to build self-confidence and assertiveness.
Clarity: Understand why you apologize excessively and how to shift this behavior.
Transformation: Discover ways to communicate more effectively and authentically.
The "SORRY" Acronym
I like to use the "SORRY" acronym with mentees, and much of this is covered in the book:📕
SORRY:
Self-awareness: Recognise when and why you’re apologising.
Own your words: Speak with intention and confidence.
Redefine your responses: Change the habitual “sorry” to more assertive language.
Reclaim your power: Stand firm in your beliefs and decisions.
Yield not: Do not bend to societal pressures to apologise unnecessarily.
Real-World Impact
Did you know that excessive apologising can affect your professional and personal life? Studies have shown that over-apologizing can lead to perceptions of lower competence and authority. By applying the principles and tools in "Stop Apologising," you can transform how others perceive you and, more importantly, how you perceive yourself.

I am known, admired and hired for leading & partnering with teams to crack difficult challenges, break records and leveling up, while being well, having fun and building legacy.
I can't wait to read Stop Apologizing - Tara Rule's new book. After attending her amazing program Elevate this year and personal 1:1 coaching with Tara, I am confident her book will be really useful for breaking the "apologizing" code.
For me, the biggest impact of apologizing too much is how it fuels my inner critic, especially around the "who the hell do you think you are anyway". It becomes a shield, defensive reaction protect, hide and minimize my fear.
Don't get me wrong - I am talking about apologizing too much, not apologizing when its warranted for restoring trust, being accountable, committing to learning and making it better "amends".
When and where do you apologize too much and how does it impact you?
Congratulations Tara Rule!
