On July 9th, 2018, Redwood Literacy was born. Over the years, we have journeyed with many students and staff through summer camps, full-time school, tutoring sessions, advocacy meetings, community partnerships, school partnerships, professional development, curriculum development, and more. This year, we will celebrate S I X Y E A R S of Redwood! Six years of life-changing stories. We would love to celebrate by hearing from YOU, the people who have made Redwood what it is. If you have a Redwood story, would you share it? Our celebration won’t be the same without you. Share a voice memo of your Redwood Story here: https://lnkd.in/egmSTQe5 or by emailing vanessa@redwoodliteracy.com

Last year, 97% of Redwood Literacy's Rogers Park students outpaced their peers in reading growth. 🎉 For the last 6 years, Redwood’s Rogers Park location has provided effective, fun reading & writing tutoring to students across Chicago using the Wilson Reading System® and Writing Our World™. *Data collected through the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills - 8th Edition (DIBELS-8) assessment. The growth rate was calculated from the beginning to the end of the school year and compared to national norms. Huge shoutout to Samantha "Sammi" Oberman, Site Manager at Rogers Park and the whole team for their incredible work! #WilsonReadingSytem #DIBELS #studentdata https://lnkd.in/gFg6rk_h
