Demystifying AES Encryption: Can It Be Broken? AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is a widely used symmetric encryption algorithm that allows encryption and decryption using the same key. Here are the steps to decrypt data encrypted with AES: Understanding AES Encryption: AES operates on fixed-size blocks of data (usually 128 bits). It supports key lengths of 128, 192, and 256 bits. The longer the key, the stronger the encryption. AES offers various modes of encryption, such as ECB, CBC, CTR, OFB, and GCM. Choose the Correct Mode: Select the appropriate mode based on your use case: READFULL : https://lnkd.in/dJ64UpWe #cyber #AES #Encryption

Celebrating Our Milestone: PQShield Contributes to NIST’s Groundbreaking PQC Standards After many months of hard work and anticipation, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has officially published the #PQC standards—FIPS 203, 204, and 205. This is a monumental milestone, and we’re incredibly proud to have contributed to shaping these standards that will guide the future of cybersecurity. This achievement cements PQShield as a major player in the PQC field, reaffirming our commitment to staying ahead of emerging threats. As Dr. Ali Kaafarani, our CEO, said, "It's our duty to get these new standards into the hands of organisations worldwide, ensuring we remain a step ahead of attackers." Check out the full standards and read more on our blog:https://hubs.li/Q02L4_QB0 #NIST #Cybersecurity #QuantumSafe #PQShield
🚨BIG NEWS🚨 Today National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has published the #PQC standards! FIPS 203, FIPS 204 and FIPS 205 are official! Congratulations to the entire cryptography community, this is the culmination of many years of global collaboration and triggers the biggest and most significant cybersecurity transition in history. As our CEO and Founder, Dr Ali Kaafarani says “This is an exciting moment for cryptographers like Team PQShield, who worked to shape these new standards. It’s now our duty and responsibility to get the new software and hardware designs into the hands of more organisations, so they can keep us all one step ahead of the attackers.” Get the full standards documents and find out more in our blog: https://hubs.li/Q02L4_QB0 ...and stay tuned for more commentary in the coming days. #NIST #NISTstandards #PQC #cybersecurity #cryptography #quantumsafe #quantumreadiness #quantumsecure

The recent announcement by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) marks a significant milestone in the field of cryptography, specifically addressing the growing concerns around the advent of quantum computing. NIST has published three new Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), which are designed to safeguard against the potential threats posed by quantum computers to current cryptographic systems. These standards are: 1. FIPS 203: Module-Lattice-Based Key-Encapsulation Mechanism Standard (Kyber) - This standard addresses key encapsulation, a method crucial for secure key exchange in cryptographic protocols. 2. FIPS 204: Module-Lattice-Based Digital Signature Standard (Dilithium) - This standard is focused on digital signatures, ensuring the authenticity and integrity of messages. 3. FIPS 205: Stateless Hash-Based Digital Signature Standard (SPHINCS+) - This standard also deals with digital signatures but utilizes a hash-based approach, offering an alternative to lattice-based methods. These standards are the result of an eight-year cycle of submissions, research, and analysis, aiming to prepare the cryptographic infrastructure for the era of quantum computing. Quantum computers, once fully developed, have the potential to break many of the cryptographic systems currently in use, making the shift to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) essential. The newly published standards are expected to be widely adopted across industries, influencing everything from data transmission and online financial transactions to military communications. Organizations will need to transition their cryptographic systems to be compliant with these new standards, driven by both regulatory requirements and the need for enhanced security. The announcement is seen as a pivotal moment in cybersecurity, as it triggers what could be the most significant transition in the field's history. The impact will be global, with security bodies and government agencies already beginning to mandate compliance with these new PQC standards. Companies like PQShield, which specialize in PQC technologies, are well-positioned to lead the adoption of these standards, ensuring that systems worldwide are prepared to withstand the threats posed by quantum computing.
