This position Identifies community needs and develops short and long-term solutions to develop and revitalize communities and areas. Develops and implements plans and programs that help create communities, accommodate population growth, and revitalize physical facilities for Cities, Towns, and Townships in Redwood County. The position has frequent interaction with business owners, elected officials, administrators, department heads, developers, educators, and others. General duties for this position include: Identifying potential grant and loan opportunities, and other funding sources, for local economic development projects, and making applications for them; meeting with public officials, developers, and the public regarding development plans and land use; developing, implementing, managing, and monitors Economic Development throughout Redwood County; and work with County businesses that already exist to strengthen them and assess their needs.
