Disclaimer: I'm bad at remembering routes 🫥 We have travelled to many states in Malaysia but I can never remember the routes (i'm gonna blame it on all the car naps that i took 😅) Today we were headed to Kelantan for Ascendance Outreach Program 2024 and I was determined to stay awake and enjoy the view along the ride. To my surprise, i was somehow able to remember some of the routes that we took last year when we visited Kelantan. It's interesting how the human mind works. we remember things that impact us, like beautiful scenery or some banner designs we saw on the way. (probably thats just me 🙃) It got me to wonder, how do we make whatever we do memorable? How do we stand out among a pool of contents in social media and get your audience to stop by your post? For me, Ramadan is a time for reflection, self-discipline, and gathering with my loved ones from wherever they are. From Google Trends we learned that there are many emerging hobbies, interests and community-based trends that have become a subculture on its own. For example, searches for ”Calisthenics" increased by 40% just in the past 3 months alone - among others are tufting, board games, and many more. From Qibla Finder to prayer times, there are many unique experiences across Google products that are able to help many observe Ramadan smoothly. However, as interests and lifestyles are changing, it raises another question on how to adopt it in this special month, where our routines need to be adjusted. Apart from unique experiences across our products, we want to further support and encourage Indonesians to continue pursuing their varied interests, be it sports, food, fashion, arts & crafts, games, and many more - and still enjoy and be able to observe this Ramadan smoothly with the help of Google. This is where our inspiration for this year's Ramadan campaign comes from and it is called #IniRamadanKita. Continuing last year's success, we are back collaborating with Nasida Ria, an iconic all-female Qosidah band that was first formed in 1975. Aligned with this year’s message, there’s a twist to this year's collaboration, where we cross-genre and generation, by bringing together the unexpected collaboration of Nasida Ria and the current generations pop group, JKT48. We are thrilled to be able to launch this yesterday, premiering this campaign exclusively for more than 100 attending media and social-media influencers.
