Development steps in the electrification ⚡ and hydrogen 💧 solutions gets often the biggest headlines in the news and rightfully so: As engineer 🛠 , always intrigued about new technologies and approaches, not to forget that all of these solutions are needed for transforming transportation sector sustainable. However, I think the biggest game changer is hiding in plain sight: combining existing engine technologies ✈ with 100% sustainable fuels 🌱! Especially from this perspective, excited to see this milestone with V2500 and 100% SAF (HEFA-SPK)!

To make aviation more sustainable, IAE International Aero Engines AG (IAE) has successfully tested the V2500 engine on 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). With nearly 3,000 V2500-powered aircraft in service today (including Airbus A320ceo family aircraft and the Embraer C-390 Millennium), IAE (a multinational consortium comprised of Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines AG) recognizes its impact in supporting the industry’s goal to meet net zero CO2 emissions by 2050. agree Reetu Sallinen we're seeing a lot of movement for power plant simulation and exhaust gas processing whether it's stationary or large bore transportation. so called "Alternative" fuels will have a huge part in this quest for sustainable goals.
