To effectively leverage your relationships with your network or team, your connections need to be genuine rather than superficial. The louder the emotion, the more likely it is that contagion will occur… and vulnerability is one of our loudest emotions. We’re hardwired to notice it.” — Amit Goldenberg, Harvard Psychology Professor. 🚀At REF, we are authentic leaders who show ourselves as we are. Learn more: https://ref.global

Let’s think about this. Are we identifying as leaders and contributors to the success of others? Your identity will drive your habits…take ownership of your identity. “The biggest barrier to positive change at any level—individual, team, society—is identity conflict. Good habits can make rational sense, but if they conflict with your identity, you will fail to put them into action.” James Clear - Atomic Habits

Leadership Consultant | Co-Author, 'The Facilitation Advantage' | Elevating Leadership through Facilitation Skills
Can you think of a time when you didn't feel brave enough to step into who you are and how you wanted to represent yourself? Try creating an alter ego. -->Clark Kent transforms into Superman -->Diana Prince morphs into Wonder Woman -->Kobe Bryant turned into Black Mamba Beyoncé has an alter ego named Sasha Fierce. This version of her is more aggressive, more outspoken and more glamorous for her stage performance. It can work for us too. Visualize how your alter ego would act, behave, think, and express themselves. Then call upon that persona when you need it. I help leaders increase their impact through executive presence and facilitation skills. Visit my website --> theresemiclot.com

This is a brief message to highlight the idea of emotional and intellectual flexibility, both in work and personal settings. Greater than intellect, hard work, glamor, and medals, is the ability to flex and adapt. This is not just a survival mechanism, it is truly one of the key ingredients of good work and leadership. The best leaders are facilitators of ideas, inviting dissent, debate and discussion. The best human beings are those who welcome shame and humiliation, if need be, because they want truth to reign supreme in their lives. When I hold to a particular position, or comfort zone, I expend unnecessary energy protecting that turf. Nurturing and loving yourself is absolutely essential but like all love relationships, self love can become toxic and detrimental to human growth at some point. It was never about you, or me. Life or Universe are playing out in ways that our body-centric egos cannot comprehend. We are participating in the great play of Life, but have forgotten perhaps how to play. This is the realm of innocence, faith, and relaxed yet active engagement in all of Life. Turn away from nothing, turn away no one. Serve all because all are serving you.

Cultivate Innate Wisdom Is it easy to develop virtues like patience, peace and maturity? Think of it. Do we let go things easily or keep holding on it till we need to a “disprin” to kill the headache. Tolerance leads to wisdom. As per Daniel Goleman 90% of the successful leaders are high on their Emotional Quotient (EQ) than Intelligence Quotient (IQ). A decision taken after a wait or pause (many a times) converts into “good decision”. Take a case, how easy is to share information with a newcomer, difficult! That is where wisdom creeps in and says, lets do it. Secondly, look deep and see, how can you add value to your personal and professional life. Not your appraisal but self-development is your report card. You will be on your path of patience, peace and maturity. In this stressful busy life if there is someone (a friend/ mentor) who actually values your presence, selfless “giver” Trust me, you are blessed, never let that person go from you... That is wisdom.

🤔 Ever wonder why no one listens to you, no matter how knowledgeable you are? 🤔 In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in showcasing our expertise and knowledge. Whether you're a leader, teacher, friend, or family member, it's essential to build trust and connection through empathy. Here are a few ways to show you care: 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆: Give others your full attention. Sometimes, people just need to be heard. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆: Try to understand and share the feelings of others. A little empathy goes a long way. 𝗕𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁: Whether it’s a conversation with a colleague or spending time with family, being fully present shows you value their time and presence. 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽: Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Offer help where you can. 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗨𝗽: Checking in on someone after a tough day or a challenging project shows you care beyond the immediate moment.
