INATBA's Policy-Focused Dinners at EthCC Brussels 2024: Key Discussions on Stablecoins, DeFi, and Real World Assets Regulation On July 9th and 10th, INATBA hosted two policy-focused dinners during EthCC Brussels 2024. These discussions centered around Stablecoins, DeFi & RWA regulation in the post-MiCA landscape. Attendees included industry participants, European Commission representatives, and influential figures. Topics discussed included the need for MiCA clarity, why DeFi is outside current regulations, staking and on-chain lending management, and establishing a level playing field with non-European CASPs. As Europe transitions into its next regulatory framework phase, INATBA invites industry engagement in their work streams to shape policy discussions that will influence the EU's regulatory landscape for decades to come. The event aimed to facilitate impactful European Union policy discussions, exploring gaps and areas requiring further attention. cheqd ran a series of product interviews with leading digital #credential companies and experts to determine the problems that they and their clients are facing. This product-led research helped us re-establish what our partners and clients want from cheqd. In this research phase, we established two clear problems in the market: 92% identified either (1) Trust Registries; or (2) Commercial models for credential ecosystems as being a blocker in their projects or clients reaching production environments. cheqd Studio was launched to solve two crucial problems for the industry: (1) establishing #trust infrastructure to empower relying parties to fully trust the credentials they receive; and, (2) facilitating #payment infrastructure to allow companies and consortia to establish commercial models for credential flows, with stablecoin support and fiat on-ramping and off-ramping.
