As we close out the year, I’m proud of the technical strides we’ve made at DeepDrive, both validated internally and recognised externally.   𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 An independent study conducted by Shafigh Nategh and the Polytechnic University of Turin evaluated leading motor topologies, including permanent magnet and externally excited synchronous machines. The results confirmed our Dual Rotor motor technology as the leading solution for EVs, setting new standards in efficiency, performance, and cost. 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲: Optimised material usage and simplified processes allow for significantly lower manufacturing costs without compromising performance. 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲:  Exceptional efficiency across operating conditions, exceeding other topologies. 𝐖𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞: Compact, lightweight design improves vehicle efficiency and reduces energy consumption. 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Parallel to this independent study, we have advanced the functional validation of our motor systems: 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞: Exceeded performance targets, achieving 22 Nm/kg and 15 kW/kg. Samples have been delivered to OEMs, and we are preparing for full test-bench operation. 𝐈𝐧-𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞: Achieved critical milestones, including validation on external test benches and first vehicle integration with driving tests. Performance, efficiency, and weight targets were all successfully met. Measured Impact 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝: Record-breaking WLTP efficiency enabling a 20% range increase. High torque density, with up to 1500 Nm peak torque and reliable continuous operation at 720 Nm. Alongside these advancements, we’ve established a small-scale production line in our new Munich HQ, ensuring readiness for industrialisation.   This year’s achievements reflect a shared belief: speed and innovation are critical to solving today’s automotive challenges. I’m incredibly proud of our team’s dedication and grateful for the trust of our partners and investors.   As we head into 2025, we’re prepared to continue driving technical progress and supporting the transition to electric mobility at scale.

🌏 On World Earth Day, Volkswagen Group Italia S.p.A. invited its employees to bring their exhausted portable batteries and WEEEs (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) to its headquarters. 🔋 This is the result of the targeted initiative in which the Volkswagen Group Italia team took part with colleagues from MAN Truck & Bus Italia S.p.A., Volkswagen Financial Services | Italy and DIGILAB ITALIA Srl - Filiale Italiana di PORSCHE INFORMATIK GmbH. ⚡The virtuous management of this waste has made it possible to save 953 kWh of electricity (equal to the consumption of 3,971 10 Watt LED bulbs switched on for 24 hours). 🌱This testifies how all of us, with simple gestures, can have a positive impact on the environment.
