Red Bull Rampage is about so much more than the tricks and arguing about the scoring. I was lucky enough to be able to a cover this year’s event, and set out to try and find some new angles on what must be one of the most reported on events in mountain biking. I’ve had some great feedback, so I’m feeling pretty chuffed about what I accomplished on the ground. It’s not an easy environment to work in - especially when I added camping into the mix for the second half of the week. Many ski areas are promoting carpooling incentives, and the Colorado Department of Transportation reported a 90% increase in mountain bus route ridership last season.
