Workforce development expert Parminder K. Jassal (ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ) says technology shifts have a direct bearing on #robotics and #engineering job market trends. Her company, Unmudl Skills-to-Jobs Marketplace, connects learners and employers via a network of community colleges. The question on whether a trade program focusing on a practical field such as mechatronics can be equated to a four-year degree program remains open-ended. Dr. Jassal's opinion: “Of course, I believe degrees have their value, or I wouldn’t have one. But how does that relate to the job market? And how do you get the stepping stones built so that you can go ahead and start with a job now in a matter of 26 weeks, rather than waiting until getting educated for four years and then going, ‘Hmm! That wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do’.” Lots of engineering jobs tips in this video. Machine Design #mechatronics #skillstraining #trades
