BETTER & CHEAPER than Apple Studio Display. The price is also much better than the LG 32EP950-B and the Asus ProArt PA32DC which both have the same JOLED panel as this cheaper Innocn! Also, it has better color accuracy than the ROG Swift PG32UCDM which just came out, since this Innocn is targeting creators, not gamers. #colorgrading #monitor #colorgradingmonitor #postproduction #editing #videoediting

A fun electronics project I tackled this week: Refurbishing a dead Gameboy Color! I picked this console up with no working audio from the speaker, a damaged shell, intermittent power, and a severely scratched display. After some circuit debug, I found that the audio issue was coming from a faulty switch internal to the headphone jack: Some contact cleaner and a small bristle brush helped re-establish continuity in the switch's normally-closed position, letting sound play through the speaker instead of the headphone jack. (It turned out the speaker was damaged, too, so I soldered in a new one. 😅) Intermittent power issues were fixed with some re-adjustment of the battery terminals while transferring the main board to its new shell: The springs that sit on the AA battery anodes had bent away from their original spots, towards the edges of the battery. Finally, I added a backlit display to the console so that games can be played in the dark! The new display came with a capacitive touch sensor that hides within the top of the console shell, too, allowing for a secret 'button' that adjusts display brightness. Very impressive hardware from Funnyplaying! 👾 If you had this setup, what's the first cartridge you'd dust off to play? 🕹️

CVO - KP9 Interactive - Focused on the democratization of Augmented Reality. Insider to tech - outsider to industry.
The future was supposed to be more convenient. I'm still waiting. I want to play a game but PC/VR/Console/hardware/software needs patch. I want to create graphics/music/video ... software needs update. I want to chill to music/movie ... hardware won't re-connect from previous session or needs to be restarted... usually both devices. How many times a week or day are any of you taken from your state of mind to troubleshoot BS that shouldn't be BS anymore in so many ways unless using bleeding/cutting edge... these are consumer products I am talking about. I feel like a perpetual beta tester on everything.
