Amazon’s decision to implement AI is now set to include Fire TV, its media streaming device that allows users to stream, install apps, and play music, among other things on their TVs. The organization is launching an AI-driven search feature to Fire TV, which would equip Alexa with the ability to respond to open-ended questions about movies and shows. The intent is to share more customized recommendations appropriate to users’ preferences. A proprietary Large Language Model (LLM) will drive the feature, comprehend natural language and phrases, and share responses to specific queries related to movies, characters, actors, and genres! Patent is a sovereign privilege. So patent analysis about the big picture of IP's economic implications should include the information based on the census geographical locations of sovereign entities. If you, or any of your contacts, need to search US patents by census geographical locations, we can help, with our copyrighted multilingual metadata. Metadata is a basic enabler. Without metadata, NO data can be found/retrieved, even by the most advanced technologies, like AI, quantum computers, etc. https://lnkd.in/g-aJFnXR

#Amazon Introduces Cutting-Edge #AI #Voice Search for Fire TV Devices Amazon is introducing an AI-powered search feature to Fire TV, enabling #Alexa to answer open-ended questions about TV shows and movies and offer personalized recommendations based on users’ preferences. Announced at #Amazon’s annual devices event last September, this feature leverages a proprietary large language model (LLM) to understand natural language queries. For example, Alexa can answer specific questions like, “What movie has the line ‘Life is like a box of chocolates?’” (the answer is “#ForrestGump”). Additionally, it can provide recommendations based on #actors, #characters, #genres, and topics, enhancing the overall user experience. This new feature will be available to #U.S. customers with Fire TV devices running Fire #OS6 or later in a few weeks. Alexa will also suggest titles included in the streaming services users are already subscribed to. For instance, if you ask Alexa to find psychological thrillers with surprise endings, it will show content available to you through your existing subscriptions. This launch is part of Amazon's ongoing efforts to integrate generative AI-powered features into #FireTV, following previous launches like an AI-powered image generator for TV backgrounds and several Alexa experiences for games and song creation. #Amazon #Provelopers #FireTV #Alexa #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #Streaming #LLM #GenerativeAI #Technology #Innovation

Alexa’s Fire TV search has a new AI, but it needs some work I recently had the chance to try out Amazon’s new Fire TV voice search, which injects Alexa with new AI-powered tools to help you find what you want to watch. As exciting as these advancements are, they come with a few caveats. First off, let’s acknowledge the massive potential here. Alexa’s integration with AI means the voice search feature is more intuitive and conversational. For example, instead of having to be super specific with search terms, you can now ask more naturally phrased questions like “show me action movies” or “what’s popular in comedy right now?” Alexa then cross-references available content to provide tailored suggestions. However, despite these impressive strides, there are still areas that need improvement. One of the initial issues I encountered was accuracy. While Alexa was generally good at understanding broad categories, getting it to pinpoint specific shows or movies was hit-or-miss. In some instances, I found myself scrolling through lists that didn’t quite match my requests. Moreover, this AI-enhanced search sometimes struggled with less mainstream content. Despite Alexa’s advancements, it appears there’s still a bias towards more popular titles. That’s a bummer for those of us who enjoy indie films or niche genres. Another area that needs refinement is the speed of results. The search isn't as snappy as one might hope. There were moments where I found myself waiting longer than expected for content to load, which detracts from the seamless experience we all crave from voice-activated searches. All things considered, Amazon’s new Fire TV voice search powered by AI marks a significant step forward. While it does an admirable job introducing a more conversational and intuitive search format, it’s evident that there’s room for improvement. It’s an exciting glimpse into the future of home entertainment search capabilities, but for now, a bit more work is needed to iron out the kinks. With everything going on with OpenAI's GPT Store, ...it's hard not to think about Spotify. Remember when buying a CD was the norm? Maybe you don't, but imagine all music only being available as physical products...minus bootlegging on Napster. Spotify changed everything, bringing music streaming to our fingertips. Record labels fought against it, and there were no rules for how to regulate or monetize royalties for streamed music. Spotify had to rewrite the game. Now, OpenAI and the GPT Store are on a similar groundbreaking path with AI. They're not just launching a new service; they're making data and content as accessible and commonplace as streaming a favorite song. The scale of complexity is massive. And right now the GPT Store is grappling with more than just rights and royalties; it's navigating AI ethics and data privacy. It's an audacious and careful balancing act for OpenAI, with every move being pioneering and under close scrutiny. It's interesting to watch and see where this all goes. ------------- #ai #GPTStore #FutureOfAI #DigitalRevolution
