🐝 Buzzing with Excitement! 🐝   Say “Ciao!” to Remedy’s newest rooftop tenants. Five Italian queen bees and their bustling hives have joined us at our Chicago Headquarters, thanks to the Remedy Green Team and our partnership with The Hive Supply! 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝘀? 🇮🇹 They are excellent honey producers and one of the gentlest subspecies of honeybees, which makes them easier to manage and ideal for urban environments. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴? 🏙  Some of these facts might surprise you: ➞ Honeybees are an essential pollinator of plants — along with butterflies, birds, bats, and other small mammals ➞ Three-quarters of the world’s flowering plants and 35% of food crops depend on pollinators to reproduce ➞ 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 — 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁 ➞ 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 ➞ Cities are not ecological deserts — they provide a surprisingly diverse choice of pollen-bearing plants through parks, community gardens, backyards, playgrounds, street trees, and median strips ➞ Urban bees pollinate 8 times more plant species than urban or suburban bees ➞ Urban beehives produce more honey (56% more!) and have a better winter survival rate All of this means corporate rooftops like ours are crucial sites for preserving pollinators and biodiversity. Keep an eye out for more buzz-worthy updates on the progress of our hives. #SaveTheBees #UrbanBeekeeping #Sustainability #Pollinators #ItalianHoneyBees #Chicago #HealthcareRealEstate

Very innovative - and a great way to keep pollination plentiful! 🐝
