Interesting video explaning the Game theory and especially the applications of the Prisoner´s Dilemma on different simplified models (and the results from it) and extrapolating to real life! https://lnkd.in/dH3FJMyQ

Game theory and prisoner’s dilemma In the video below Veritasium - which is a youtube channel with great content - discusses the prisoner’s dilemma in the findings of the Axelrod Tournament. It’s fascinating what the winners were in the study and what implications on the long term benefits of cooperation even between rivals. The main four qualities of the winners were: 1- Nice 2- Forgiven 3- Retaliatory 4- Clear Please watch the full video - about ~25 minutes - to get all of the information and I’m sure you’ll not regret it. https://lnkd.in/dVAHUfxk

Here's an important video to watch, to understand life, strategically. You might have heard of what prisoner's dilemma is, in game theory... but life is a set of continuous, interdependent prisoner's dilemmata. The video gives you 3 basic thumbrules to build a reaction system and potentially how the world might react to each outcome... My biggest takeaways are - Simple clear communication of a simple model outpaces complex solutions - “In the short term it is often the environment that shapes the player… but in the long run it is the players that shape the environment.” Words to live by.

-How do you resolve conflicts in your life ? -Can you write an algorithm to create strategies to resolve the conflicts ? -Which strategy is better, being nice or being nasty? I like this video because it answers these questions using the power of algorithims with Game Theory.

Game Theory, The Prisoners Dilemma, & Cooperation As many look to enact their 2024 strategies I found a video which might be useful as it relates to your relationships. This is an in-depth look at the prisoners dilemma and game theory. It is a wonderful deep dive which goes over the math/science behind winning and makes it extremely digestible. The big takeaways were the characteristics that all the “winning strategies” shared: 1. Be Nice – Don’t be the first to attack 2. Be Forgiving – Don’t hold a grudge 3. Be Retaliatory – Don’t be a pushover 4. Be Clear – Make sure people know what to expect from you and your actions If you have a minute, watch the video and evaluate how you can incorporate the lessons into your own personal and professional strategies!

Helping nonprofit, cooperative, and school boards be better through world class training, facilitation, strategic planning, and guidance - Multiple award winning leader, educator, storyteller, and social entrepreneur.
Curious about Game Theory? Here is the best brief primer I have come across and of course, it is from Veritasium, maybe the most reliable and informative science videos on the internet. Spend a fascinating half hour with Derek Muller and learn more about cooperation, competition, and how things interact with each other.

Game Theory's best strategy (Tit For Tat) has direct implications for legislation and the judicial power. Because for an individual life is not zero-sum, it's much better a good but fast legal arrangements that easily restores collaboration (and trust to exchange relevant info), than a long and labyrinthic path of appeals to get “better” justice for the institutional common good. That's why legal guarantees as the innocence presumption and the due process should be taken with flexibility accordingly to the evidence in hand and the case context, as their rigorous application is a barrier for Tit For Tat fast legal arrangements. The avoidance of second order effects and having a win-win collaboration strategy that boost mutual payoffs for longer periods is, in the long term, an ASTRONOMIC difference.

One of the best vids I have seen on Game Theory till date!! This video explains how mathematical systems form morals and values in evolutionary game theory based environments (aka WarGames). The values which form the best strategies are: 1. Be nice: Always cooperate first regardless of the higher individual payoff of not cooperating 2. But don’t be a pushover: Retaliate when others are not nice to you 3. Be forgiving: Retaliate but don’t hold grudges 4. Be clear: Don’t have complicated rules and strategies which are not clear to others https://lnkd.in/e5BTwV_h
