It’s a role that demands a unique blend of skills, from managing client expectations to ensuring your team can deliver quality results without being overburdened. Saqib Ali shares his insights on navigating this dynamic role and offers some valuable tips for anyone looking to excel in this field: "I love being in a client-facing role as an Account Coordinator, it’s an interesting terrain to navigate; you're the middleman, the bridge between two very different worlds with different rules and expectations. In my role, I always have to make sure I'm delivering within the client’s expectations while also ensuring that my studio and team isn't dealing with unrealistic expectations and deadlines from the client as well. An easy way I’ve found to navigate this is through building good relationships and having really good communication skills, not only with the external clients, but also everyone on my team internally too. These relationships allow me to always provide clients with transparency throughout the work process. Ensuring these levels of transparency and effective communication allows me to be able to steer projects in a way that means the client always gets a high-quality deliverable at the end of a project, all while successfully managing my own studio’s capacity.
