We’re dedicated to inspiring and supporting the future generation of engineers. Summer school students attending Lviv Polytechnic National University and the Lviv Regional Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine’s “Polytechnic Camp” recently visited our office in Lviv, Ukraine. The class of eighth to tenth grade students got to learn about the history of Renesas, hear about GreenPAK Technology, watch system demonstrations, and visit the hardware department. A big thank you to all of our Renesas team members who helped make this happen: Yuriy Derega, Dmytro Iatsiushka, Rostyslav Marushchak and Oleh Sapiha! #Students #CareerPaths #STEMEducation

Recently, an extreme narrowband spectral response of only 8 nm in electronic-grade diamond-based photodetectors has been observed by Zheng Wei and his colleagues from Sun Yat-sen University for the first time. The Diamond A-based photodetector reported in this work possesses the shortest detection wavelength and the narrowest EQE peak up to date, whose application potentials have been proved by the preliminary imaging demonstrations. Full-length paper available at https://lnkd.in/g7a-rq7H Charge collection narrowing mechanism in electronic-grade-diamond photodetectors

Please meet Qedma, an amazing quantum computing company and it’s remarkable CSO Prof. Dorit Aharonov. One of many Israeli companies in the QC world in a country so small you can jog from the sea to its border. See how many people chose a women as their leader. They only care she is freaking brilliant. Violent or oppressor people don’t act like that. QC is going to take humanity into its next level and enable us to resolve problems which are impossible to tackle today. It might save our existence. Not a single company in QC exist outside of this strip in the whole region of 500M people and they are just as smart as israelies believe me. Will bet everything I have that one of the companies that will help Lead this field will Come out of this small strip. Can you establish such great companies when you’re violent? When the only thing on your mind is working on new technologies? When you despise borders and admire the technological greatness of others including Arabs? Impossible. Never happened before and will never happen in the future. Oops got to go. It seems also Yeman is shooting at us now.
Here's the shortened video of our CSO Dorit Aharonov presenting Qedma's demonstrations of the largest active volumes ever achieved with unbiased error mitigation, at IBM's #QuantumSummit. What are the real goals of those external forces driving the campus demonstrations? The lure to the students is the human catastrophe- though only the one Gazans are experiencing. Hamas uses their citizens as lures here, as they do in Gaza; an extreme attack draws a strong response, and many casualties amongst the Gazan human shields…it works…for now. Clearly Hamas does not care for its people, given this strategy and their refusal to ceasefire. A closer look reveals that beyond this lure, the visiting leaders on campus have shifted the chants from ‘ceasefire’ to ‘Jihad’. This goal has one battlefront where the IDF will prevail, but also an old and unsuccessful angle called BDS. And the ‘demands’ of the campus mob are precisely that, economic isolation of Israel. This hasn’t worked over the years and won’t work even in today’s circumstances because Israel is essential to the well-being of the world, to human advances in medicine and science, technology and agriculture, to the most advanced digital futures. As Martin Luther King Jr once said, Israel ‘must’ exist. So this new more aggressive attempt at BDS will also fail. Peace will come and Israel will continue to contribute to the world.
