🌍 UK Renewable Energy: A Bright Future Ahead! 🌱 The latest REA REview report brings fantastic news for the UK's renewable energy sector! 🚀 Our industry saw remarkable growth, rising 6% to a value of £24.38bn in 2022/23. With this momentum, we're on track to surge to an impressive £41bn by 2030. The report highlights that renewable sources now supply nearly half of the UK's electricity needs, marking a 15% rise over the past decade. It's an exhilarating time to be part of this dynamic sector. As we shift more rapidly towards renewable energy, the impact on job creation and local economies is significant. The sector currently employs 143,000 people, with solar photovoltaic leading the charge in job growth. What's more, with over 250,000 zero-emission vehicles and 60,000 EV charge points, our strides in renewable transport are equally commendable. The REA advocates for an Office for Net Zero Deployment and a UK Green Taxonomy to streamline and boost green investments. This strategic alignment across government departments is crucial for sustaining our momentum 🌟 Click below to read more! #RenewableEnergy #NetZero #GreenGrowth
