𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟮 𝗚𝗪 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 🌊⚡ Ocean Winds has submitted planning consent for the 2 GW Caledonia offshore wind farm in the Moray Firth, Scotland, marking a major milestone. Spanning 423 square kilometers, the project will feature 140 turbines, each up to 25 MW, and double offshore wind generation in the region by 2030. Delivered in two phases—Caledonia North and Caledonia South—the project will generate 900–1,100 MW per phase. By leveraging proven fixed foundation and AC grid technology used in Moray East and Moray West, Caledonia avoids global supply chain delays and ensures efficient delivery. The project also sets the stage for future floating wind deployment in southern areas of the site, further advancing Scotland’s offshore wind leadership.
