This is really important. When we think about the future of the disability community and employment, it's not just up to people with disabilities and disability organizations to advocate and fight for improvements and equity in society. More companies and organizations should actively collaborate with disability organizations and VRs to see how they can utilize the untapped workforce of people with disabilities. The world changes every day, why shouldn't we change the way we look at work and employment. #disability #disabilityawareness #disabilityinclusion #disabilityemployment
New year Reminder: Work with people with disabilities and organizations to actually bring their needs to life. It's one thing to talk about. It's another to develop policies, products, and programs that make a difference. #DisabilityInclusion #WeAreBillionStrong #AXSChat #a11y #Equity #DisabilityRights #SDGs

Disability doesn't limit potential, it's the ability that counts. Yet, it's essential to understand that the appearance of disability doesn't dictate one's capabilities. Instead, it's the unyielding spirit and the desire to take action that truly matters, even when faced with challenges. On this #InternationalDayofPersonswithDisability, let’s all unite for a common cause. Promoting empowerment and creating genuine opportunities for individuals with disabilities within our close-knit communities. #IDPD #Empowerment #Inclusion #CoworkTools

Kudos Puneet Singh Singhal for championing inclusivity in disability empowerment discussions! We have been passionate about dismantling the exclusionary norms that hinder the full participation of many like us. By sidelining or when our voices are not actively sought out, it perpetuates a harmful narrative that we are passive recipients of support rather than active agents of change and expertise in our own right. This lack of inclusion not only denies us the opportunity to contribute our unique perspectives but also reinforces societal misconceptions that undermine our capabilities and contributions. It's essential for us to be at the table, not just as token representatives, but as valued participants whose insights and lived experiences are integral to shaping policies, programs, and narratives that truly empower disabled individuals. Our voices aren't just valuable; they're essential for reshaping narratives and policies. Your advocacy fuels the drive for a truly inclusive society where every voice matters! #DisabilityEmpowerment #InclusionMatters #RepresentationMatters #DisabilityAdvocacy #DismantleAbleism #ChangingNarratives #WeAreBillionStrong
If people with disabilities aren't invited to the conversation on care, it's clear we're being discussed, not included. It shows that we are just an item on the agenda. Sure, go ahead and decide about us without us—we love surprises. (Yes, that's sarcasm.) #WeAreBillionStrong #AXSChat #DisabilityInclusion #DisabilityRights #Equity #SDGs #Accessibility

Break down the barriers. Bring Accessibility in conversation and action. Accessibility is not something where you can cut costs. It is a Human Right. Consulting people with disabilities while making decisions on Accessibility is true inclusion. #a11y #DisabilityInclusion #DisabilityRights #WeAreBillionStrong #Ableism #HumanRights

When we talk abput inclusion of people with disabilities, society thinks the message is for coporate companies and institutions to do that. This is not right, inclusion starts from small daily activities around us. Its everyone’s responsibilty from lawyers, engineers, parents, siblings, leaders etc. #intentionalinclusionofPWDs #socialresponsibility

Inclusion is not just about accepting defined sets of disabilities. It's about treating everyone equally, regardless of their differences. The biggest disability I see is when someone is isolated and treated differently because they are different than you. Let's strive towards a more inclusive world where everyone is accepted just the way they are. #InclusionMatters

Are you considering people with disabilities a part of your diversity, equity, and inclusion policies? You’ll be surprised to know that most companies forget to include them. 😢 According to Inc, only 28% of organizations have disability hiring goals. Make sure to include people with disabilities in your DEI policies. 🙌 #T2WUSA #equality #inclusion #RaiseAwareness #DEI
